Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Pimplo ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Pimplo is an AI-powered platform that enables users to create, edit, and export professional thumbnails for social media and video content. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered thumbnail generation (DALL-E 3, SDXL)
  • Visual canvas editor with layers, text, shapes, and effects
  • Template library with customizable designs
  • Brand kit management (colors, fonts, logos)
  • Batch processing and bulk operations
  • Background removal and image tools
  • A/B testing for thumbnail optimization
  • Animation studio for GIF thumbnails
  • Thumbnail analytics and click heatmaps
  • Video-to-thumbnail frame extraction
  • Team collaboration and organization features
  • REST API for programmatic access (Business plan)

Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account
  • Not share your account with others

Credits and Billing

Credits System

Our Service operates on a credit-based system where certain features consume credits:

  • Credits are required for AI generation and premium features
  • Free accounts receive 50 credits upon signup
  • Subscription plans include monthly credit refills that reset each billing cycle
  • Additional credit packs can be purchased separately and do not expire
  • Credit costs vary by operation (generation, background removal, analysis, etc.)

Payment

All payments are processed securely through Stripe (credit/debit cards) or Cryptomus (cryptocurrency). We never store your payment card details on our servers. You agree to:

  • Provide valid payment information
  • Pay all fees and charges on time
  • Accept responsibility for all charges made under your account

All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. A free plan is available so you can try the service before purchasing.

Subscriptions

Subscription plans (Starter, Pro, Business) are billed monthly or annually. You may:

  • Upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings
  • Cancel your subscription at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Manage your billing through the Stripe customer portal

Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the thumbnails and content you create using our Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and display your content as necessary to provide the Service
  • Make technical reproductions for backup and service delivery

We will not use your content for marketing, training AI models, or any other purpose without your explicit consent.

Our Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Pimplo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our permission.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Create or share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Resell or redistribute our Service without authorization
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Prohibited Content

You may not create or upload content that:

  • Contains illegal material or promotes illegal activities
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Contains hate speech, threats, or harassment
  • Is sexually explicit or pornographic
  • Promotes violence or self-harm
  • Contains malware or malicious code

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms and terminate accounts that repeatedly violate our policies.

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • That defects will be corrected immediately
  • The Service will be available at all times

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with or without notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pimplo shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or errors
  • Third-party content or actions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service will cease
  • Unused credits will be forfeited
  • You may request export of your data within 30 days

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Team and Organization Accounts

Business plan users may create organization accounts with team members:

  • The organization owner is responsible for all team member activity
  • Credits are shared from the organization pool
  • The owner can assign roles (admin, member) to control permissions
  • Removing a member revokes their access immediately

API Usage

Business plan users may access our REST API. Additional terms apply:

  • API keys are confidential — do not share or expose them in client-side code
  • Rate limits apply (1000 requests/minute) and may change with notice
  • Automated access must comply with our acceptable use policy
  • We may revoke API access for abuse or excessive usage without notice

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
